We continue our van trip and are heading to Albania. Here, we will highlight a very special and dear moment - meeting kind and funny Albanian artisans from the ancient old Kruje.

It is noteworthy that Albanians do not refer to their country as "Albania", but rather as "Shqipëri", which translates to "Land of Eagles". The eagle holds immense significance for Albanian people and is regarded as their national and ethnic symbol. So, the Albanian flag features a black, two-headed eagle on a solid red background. This design is believed to have originated from Prince Skanderbeg, a hero from the 15th century who successfully led a rebellion against the Ottoman Turks in 1443. The prince his hometown is Kruje.

Near the castle’s entrance in Kruje is a traditional market, which dates back to the period of Skanderbeg. Here, tourists can find Albanian craft products such as embroidered items, carpeting, silver objects, copper, alabaster, filigree, traditional clothing, and antiques at the traditional Old Baazar. And you can meet here these amazing people - extremely friendly, open to discussing the most challenging topics, and absolutely warm and welcoming. This shop is a MUST-stop shop. As you enter the bazaar, it is the 3rd shop on your right.

What I tried to say in the video was that: Pёrshёndetje, which means "Hello,’’ and Faleminderit, which means "Thank You’’!
