Since 2003, the Government of India decided to celebrate “Pravasi Bhartiya Divas" in order to keep overseas Indian community connected with their motherland and to mark the contribution of the NRIs towards the development of India.
Since then, India has been celebrating “Pravasi Bhartiya Divas" on January 9th to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's return from South Africa in 1915.
This year in 2023, for the 17th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas convention in Indore Madhya Pradesh, a first-of-its kind ‘Digital exhibition’ has been organised on the theme– “Contribution of Diaspora in Indian Freedom Struggle.” to felicitate the contribution of freedom fighters who fought from different parts of the world.
PM Narendra Modi inaugurated this 'Digital Exhibition' alongwith Tagbin Team by lighting the ‘Digital Jyot’.
Each zone of this Digital Exhibition pays tribute to various exemplary personalities by using new-age immersive technologies like AR, VR, Metaverse, Holograms, digital flipbooks, projection mapping, etc.
Happy & satisfied faces of all the visitors clearly describe their unforgettable experiences of these modern technologies now in their city.
Tagbin has completely conceptualised & created this 'Digital Exhibition' for our hon'ble Ministry of External Affairs, India.
