This was written during a really difficult time in my life. Music has always been what gets me through everything, but for a little while after losing someone, even music sounded like noise. However, I'm finally starting to enjoy it again, so I poured everything I had into this song as an outlet and a means to cope. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope it means something to you too.

Thanks to Jack Poppleton for playing a huge part in shaping the sound of the track and for helping out with some concepting for parts that unfortunately didn't make it into the track in the end.

-- Lyrics --

Verse 1:
You said the words you always did, despite the feelings that you hid, I had no clue beyond my jealous fits of paranoia.

Hours went by without a sign, I found myself alone with time, nightmares still spinning in my head without an end in sight.

But you saw the path that we were on, that what was there was now long gone, that someone else could make you smile more than I ever could.

Those thoughts you wanted to deny, the love and lust you tried to hide, still lingered for a moment long enough to change your mind.

Verse 2:
You said you needed time and space, but what you needed was too late, I stumbled through the darkness holding on to you.

That night I saw your eyes light up, the way they used to give that look, staring right through me searching for another soul.

Now he’s your new forever-man, a new replacement for my hand, someone to warm your bed and live our memories.

The days go by - the tears run dry, our past fades with each goodbye, yet still I dream of dancing silhouettes in the moonlight.
