The First Step to Space | Georgia Tech Rocket Launch Documentary
Launching rockets is by no means easy, especially when dealing with cryogenic liquid propellants and high pressure gases. After 2 years of design, build, and testing we finally launched one of the most complicated rockets ever built by students.
GoldiLOX is our Subscale proof-of-concept rocket for our Fullscale space-shot rocket. YJSP's mission is to launch a liquid rocket past the Karman line - 100 km above Earth. GoldiLOX uses a lot of the same systems that will be used on our Fullscale rocket. From custom valves to avionics, we have developed the know-how to design fully custom parts and build them entirely in-house.
Everything we have learned from the Subscale Mission will be carried on to our next mission, Space.
