Hi Everyone, welcome back to our Maths classes with a new topic 3D Surface Area , another topic in our revision booklet, so let’s get started
Let’s focus first on the surface area of a Cuboid

We know the "surface area is the total area of all the exposed outer surfaces of an object. It is like the skin that covers and protects the object.“
The surface area of a shape is the total area of all of its faces.

To calculate the total surface area, work out the areas of every face and add them together
A sphere shape is a three-dimensional shape where every point of its surface is equidistant (the same distance) from the center of the sphere. The distance from the center of a sphere to its surface is called the radius. A sphere has no vertices.

A hemisphere is half a sphere.

The surface area of a sphere is the area which covers the outer surface of a sphere. 
The formula for the surface area of a sphere is:
Surface Area=4πr2
