Repotting Mangroves (Cleaning an Algae Bloom)
Today I am repotting my red mangrove using a method demonstrated by Liguus! My red mangrove which I rooted in a plastic pitcher six months ago has since had an algae bloom which has covered its roots and slowed its growth. In this video I will show you how to clean and repot a mangrove. Liguus' method for growing mangroves is to grow the mangrove in a pot which is then placed into a container filled with water, which makes removing the plant to change the water very easy.
