#LDAF recently joined Cajun shrimper Acy Cooper for an evening out on his boat. Acy explains in this video that every year 1 or 2 more Louisiana shrimpers leaves this industry. He said, "Our average age is 58 years old. So if we can't get money back into this industry, we are not going to have any new recruitment. It's a shame to see that we are going to lose a way of life and a culture that has been going on here in Louisiana for hundreds of years."
