Spitfire MkIX 1 32 Tamiya
This is a build commissioned by the Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum at the historic RAF airfield at Manston in east Kent. I was asked to build a replica of NH231 flown by Flying Officer Arnold Hallas - just 24 when his Spitfire NH231 crashed on April 30, 1945, just months before the end of the Second World War and two days before it officially ended in Italy.
The kit was Tamiya's superb 1/32 scale Spitfire and was such a pleasure to build.
