4 Month Old Baby Development | Lorena Vargas Physical Therapist
Lorena Vargas, Physical Therapist, explains the "typical" motor development of the 4-month-old baby. At 4 months, babies are able to roll from their back to their side pushing with the feet, and they explore objects with their eyes and mouth. They play for longer periods of time on their tummy using their arms to push up and to maintain this position. Although, sitting is not a functional position because babies cannot use their arms to play, in supported sitting, they have a new opportunity to explore their environment.
