It’s safe to say that people today never learned to use the Golden Rule.
That’s do unto others exactly the way you’d have them done to you,
It happens time and time again until you’re on the receiving end,
And you’d give anything just to have the ear of a trusted friend,
Don’t malign, don’t deride, don’t patronize or ostracize,
Don’t alienate don’t denigrate, don’t deviate for heaven’s sake,
Don’t you scorn and don’t you jeer, don’t you mock don’t you sneer,
Don’t ridicule or be the fool, try to be the better you,
I don’t mean to preach but I gotta speech in hopes I reach those I beseech,
You’ll realize there are no lies when everyone tries to empathize,
It’s not news we’re all paying dues so try to walk in another’s shoes
And live your life by the Golden Rule,
