Sometimes I feel I could kill for a smoke, but I know I can’t, so I probably won’t.
Because if I ever start to smoke again, it means going though hell to give it up again,
Thank God I still can have a drink, though I stop at a few before I think,
I can still do the stupid things that I did, years ago, when I was a kid,
I have to smile when people say, “Why don’t you just act your age?”
To them I say I did before, It kinda’ sucked, I cant do it no more!
I wish I could say it was just a joke, when I listen some who claim to be woke,
Working hard to legislate speech while poisoning minds with the lies they preach,
For God’s sake don’t dare disagree, they need you compliant and full of apathy,
It’s fine though: they’re better than you and me, though they still live at home and they’re 43!
We all need take a break some time, turn off the screens for a while,
Go for a walk, go for a ride but God’s sake go outside!
There’s one more thing on my mind, if I may? That’s ignore all the haters they don’t matter today,
Seems their opinions are mostly shit, Best to walk away, let them wallow in it.
You’re only getting one run on this track, you live your best life now and you never look back,
Pick your battles smart, and know when to fight, because in the end it really wont matter who’s right,
