Eine Stunde Gameplay von "Mass Effect", einem Science Fiction-Rollenspiel entwickelt von BioWare und veröffentlicht von Microsoft (PC / Xbox 360) / Electronic Arts (Playstation 3) für Xbox 360 (2007), Windows PC ((2008) und Playstation 3 (2012) so wie in einer Sammlung aller 3 Mass Effect Trilogie-Spiele namens "Legendary Edition" für Playstation 4, Xbox One und Windows PC im Jahre 2021, hier gezeigt in der originalen Windows PC Version aus dem Jahre 2007.
Das Spiel folgt dem Menschen Commander Shepard welcher vom Spieler als entweder männlich oder weiblich gestaltet werden kann mit weiteren Einstellungsoptionen bei seiner oder ihrer Erschaffung.
Die Menschheit hat gerade erst begonnen, von anderen raumfahrenden Spezies wie den Turianern, Kroganern, Volus und vielen Weiteren etwas ernster im Universum genommen zu werden und Shepard und seine Mannschaft werden auf eine wichtige Mission geschickt, um dem intergelaktiscgen Rat ihren Wert zu beweisen, damit es zum allerersten Mal auch einem Menschen erlaubt wird, dem sogenannten "Spectre"-Programm beizutreten, einer Gruppe von Eliteagenten, welche auf kritische Missionen geschickt werden.
Jedoch wird diese Mission massiv sabotiert, was nicht nur zu massiven Konsequenzen für das persönliche Leben von Commander Shepard, sondern für die gesamte Galaxie führt.
"Mass Effect" wird nach wie vor als eines der besten Videospiele aller Zeiten angesehen und gilt ebenso bis heute als eins der besten Werke von BioWare.

The game follows the human Commander Shepard who can be created by the player as either male or female and various options can be chosen in his or her creation.
Humanity just has started to become a more respectable force in the universe among a variety of other space faring species like the Turians, Krogans, Volus and many more and Shepard and his crew are sent on an important mission to prove their worth to the intergalactic council so that for the very first time a human will be allowed to enter the so called "Spectre" program, a group of elite operatives that are sent out on critical missions.
This mission though is heavily sabotaged and has heavy consequences not only for Shepards personal life but for the galaxy as a whole.
"Mass Effect" still is considered as one of the greatest works of video game Software and one of BioWare's finest works up to this day.
