Art Hat using waste plastic toys
This is the 5th Art Hat that Lynne has made from different forms of domestic waste plastic. This time, she asked people to send her cheap plastic toys, the kind of thing that is given away with fast food, or comes out of Christmas crackers, then almost immediately ends up in our bins.
Her waste plastic work is a way of drawing attention to single-use plastics, while simultaneously 'locking' them into artwork, rather than allowing them to go to incineration, landfill or our oceans.
