One of the important topics in JEE | NEET Physics is Collisions, which is the study of the interaction between two or more objects. The Law of Restitution is a fundamental concept in collision physics that explains how the relative velocity of two colliding objects changes after the collision. The Law of Restitution states that the ratio of the relative velocity of separation to the relative velocity of approach is a constant for a given pair of objects. This constant is called the Coefficient of Restitution and is denoted by e. The coefficient of restitution ranges from 0 to 1, where 0 represents a perfectly Inelastic Collision, and 1 represents a perfectly Elastic Collision. The understanding of collisions and the Law of Restitution is crucial for solving JEE | NEET Physics problems related to Mechanics, Kinematics, and other related topics.
