Street Message to London Shoppers, during the build up to Christmas.
This is Preaching at Oxford Circus from a representative from the Congregation of the 'Orthodox' Church in London.
The rather diverse message near Oxford Circus Station gives an insight into some of the Pagan roots to some of our celebrations which are also used in conjunction with the Birth of Christ.
Some views expressed may not be widely accepted or representative of other Churches, but others are widely known views of Christmas.

It is widely known, especially amongst Christian, that Some celebrations based on consumerism, and ideas from cultures over the centuries may be more for celebration and a 'sense of occasion' than what would have happened in early Bible Times, though we can still celebrate and reflect on the significance of the Birth of Christ and his impact on our world today, with the risen Saviour.

Please Note: I feel this may seen to some, slightly dramatic in depth, but it would appear that the Speaker didn't want to be a 'killjoy' but wanted for passing Shoppers to stop and consider the true meaning of Christmas and the Birth of Christ during their preparations for the season of Goodwill, and the Love for others through Christ not just at Christmas, but all through the year,
