Hi everyone, and welcome to this demo on how to create a token on the MELD network. Bitbond Token Tool enables you to easily configure and create smart contracts without any coding.
Step 1: Connect your wallet to Token Tool
First, go to tokentool.bitbond.com and click on the "Connect Wallet" button. Select your preferred wallet from the list of supported wallets.
Step 2: Choose the blockchain network
Once your wallet is connected, you'll need to choose a blockchain network. For this demo, we'll be creating a MELD token using the ERC-20 token standard.
Step 3: Specify your token's attributes
Select the DeFi token tab and proceed by specifying the token name, symbol, total supply, and decimal places. Finally, explore the available features to customise your token to meet your specific needs.
For example, you can enable the “Can Burn” parameter which enables token burning after initial token creation to decrease supply.
Step 4: Pay fees to deploy your token
Once you're satisfied with your token's attributes, accept the Token Tool Terms & Conditions and click on the "Create Token" button. Confirm payment in your wallet.
Step 5: Token created successfully
Now that the transaction is confirmed and processed, a modal will show up stating that the token is successfully deployed. You will also find your token’s contract address, as well as the link to the block explorer.
