Welcome to our new video about What is Acceleration and Kinematics One Dimensional Motion in Physics.
Acceleration is change velocity over change in time. Speeding up, slowing down, or changing direction are all forms of acceleration. Acceleration is a vector in that it has magnitude (size) and direction (orientation).
delta v / delta t = a (change in velocity over change in time) is the formula for this quantity
In this video we answer the question: What is acceleration?. We define it in terms of velocity at different times in physics. This is a one dimensional motion problem. Average acceleration is shown, but this could be extended to instantaneous acceleration.
