How to Test Transistors
Testing transistors is important before building circuits on breadboards. The test shown is just a basic test and does not characterize the transistor.
A NAND gate is built and when the transistor is inserted it should turn the LED off. The transistor is wiggled around and the LED should not flicker. If it does I would not recommend using the transistor.
Testing the transistor takes time but saves time when trouble shooting circuits.
