MBS Agent: Brand New Mountainboard Preview - Is it a Win??
In todays video, we take a look at the new MBS Agent Mountainboard product release! This is the first electric board from the popular brand, MBS mountainboarding, and presents a new unique and stylish option in this category of boards! MBS please let me demo one :D
The MBS Agent series mountainboards come at a premium price but offer what appears to be premium performance. We've got a brand new electric-focused deck from MBS, integrating an array of inserts and slots to run cables, as well as inserts to mount your esc enclosures. This deck looks a lot like a Haero bro, which is a good thing, and I think a lot of people will like the shape.
On top of the deck, we've got two battery options, both 18s. In the Air variant made for jumping, you get an 18s2p battery made with P42a cells, and in the Explorer & Explorer 4wd, you get an 18s4p of the same cells. Good stuff, packaged in an enclosure that reminds me a lot of Exway's Aux Pack.
In the rear, we have a brand new 18s Hobbywing speed controller paired with some big old 6890 motors, that will hopefully provide a ton of power and help it reach its rated top speed of 41! These motors power a steel on steel gear drive with a 15:64 ratio (more planned to come in the future). The gear drives are quite large, but in my opinion, you should only run pneumatics on mountainboards anyway.
For the wheels and tires, there are two options, the jumper comes with Rockstar II wheels and MBS T3 tires, whereas the Explorer comes with Exway's & CST's massive 8x3 inch offroad tires and MBS Rockstar Pro II XL, providing a ton of track width and traction. I wager they will feel quite heavy, but we won't know until we get a demo.
MBS is proudly working with Exway on the electronics side of this board, and as such, it come with the awesome Rexus remote. What do you think! Let me know in the comments!
