DIY VESC Based OneWheel Build 2024! (P1: Parts Overview)
In this video, we embark on our first VESC OneWheel adventure! This first part focuses on the parts list and goes over the different options I found while doing research for this build. This build series was filmed in advanced and will release as I edit them! Loving the board so far!
One might look at this pile of parts and think that it's a simple thing to build. On one hand, it is not as hard as putting together the complex drivetrains on some of our electric skateboards, however, the OneWheel build experience comes with its own set of quirks and hang ups that you guys will experience throughout this series. This was my first time building up a onewheel, and I have to say, I love the final product, but building the battery was a very tight process, and there are a lot of quirks that make me not sure I'd want to do it again. Who knows. I sure had fun though, and I really hope you guys enjoy this series, because I put a lot of work into it!
