Here is one of my favorite verses from Katy Perry's Double Rainbow!
I really like the analogies and I had fun drawing doodles around the lyrics. I particularly like the way the words "chemistry" and "lightning" came out. I'm a big fan of blues and greens, so I really like the color combinations too :)
This time I went with a landscape video because I was practicing larger letters. I wasn't quite consistent, but I was aiming for an upright style of lettering where the distances from the descender line to baseline to waistline to ascender line were all 2 dots apart. More on that in a future video, I'm still getting the hang of the terms...let me know in the comments whether you have any tips on spacing!
Things I'm learning and working on:
I still find it hard to transition from downstrokes to upstrokes. Some of my letters look too heavy and thick on the bottom.
I'm also not sure why the audio quality in this video wasn't that great, but I'll have to learn to edit audio in the future! Same goes for lighting too - next step is to make sure the images have less shadows.
