Here is my tutorial of the "Faux calligraphy with blending" lettering style that I used in my Say You Won't Let Go cover title. I really like the blue tones :)

This is the first of my "Lettering Learnings" series where I'll document whenever I try a new hand lettering style. I'll summarize tips on what went well and what could have gone better. Read more for this style's learnings!

Things I learned - Hand Lettering:
~ First time using HP Premium 32 Paper AND first time blending. I don't think this paper is thick enough; blending made the paper too wet so the paper started to flake. I'll update here when I have better paper recs. Or let me know in the comments below!
~ Mentioned in video: I should have made my pencil sketch lighter. It took forever to erase everything (the clip of me erasing is actually sped up 30x!). I also should have waited longer to let the ink dry; it's not very visible in the video but the black ink smeared.

Things I learned - Editing:
~ This was my first time filming with a tripod! I tried to get a good view but it's a little more angled than I would have liked. My left hand holding the pen is blocking the letters sometimes too - note to self to be careful about that next time.
~ I also learned how to adjust brightness. Some of the images were a little dark so I learned to fix this in DaVinci Resolve.
~ Speed - everything is really sped up here. Do you prefer this speed or would you prefer for me to slow down the video?

Supplies used:
~ Tombow Fudenosuke Pen in Black, Soft Tip
~ Tombow Dual Brush Pens in N00, 476, and 407
~ HP Premium 32 Paper
~ Pencil & Eraser
