Schwarzschild geodesics - 1
This video goes through the process for deriving the geodesic equations for particles moving in a Schwarzschild space-time. It reviews the meaning of the parallel transport of a vector and shows how the geodesic equation is derived from the four velocity of a particle. It then uses the parallel transport of the four velocity vector combined with the symmetries expressed by Killing vectors to derive expressions for the motion of a particle with mass.
