The Journey of the Penguin
To celebrate 80 years of Penguin Books, this charming picture book, The Journey of the Penguin, tells the imagined story of the penguin who waddled his way into history as the symbol of a beloved publisher. In conversation will be the author, award-winning illustrator Emiliano Ponzi, as well as Viking Penguin editor Chris Russell and the Penguin Publishing Group’s executive creative director, Paul Buckley. They talk about the visual and narrative choices in the book’s development from a couple of quick sketches made on a gray January afternoon in Milan into a finished product celebrating a major milestone in publishing history.
