Riide - Changing Urban Transportation One Riide at a Time
Introducing Riide, the new hybrid bike soon to hit the roads of DC and beyond. This e-bike is light, sleek and fun to ride. We rode around the hills of DC and it rides and feels like a regular bike. If you want to speed up or get up the hill, simply twist the throttle. It was effortless.
Riide is cofounded by Georgetown University graduate Jeff Stefanis and George Washington University graduate Amber Wason, after witnessing the proliferation of electric bikes in China.
The electric bike, priced at $1,799, can travel up to 20 miles per hour thanks to a four-pound battery located inside the frame of the bike. Stay tuned, The startup (Riide) will begin fundraising on Kickstarter in December.
