First Competitive Match! Submission Grappling at ECF: Seek and Destroy! First 30 Seconds!
What’s good y’all, it’s ya boi JoJo Static back at it with another one! This is a snippet from my first ever competitive match since I joined my gym, and my first competitive anything in general since my last wrestling match during senior year of high school! I could only post the first few moments of it though!
For context, this was a last minute, short notice (same day notice) combat jujitsu match that I took against a teammate of mine to help save the card. We were originally gonna take an mma match against different opponents but the athletic commission wouldn’t allow it for too short notice
Either way, I came in this match at about 155ish while my teammate/opponent was about 175ish. It was a single 5 minute round. There ref would decide the winner rather than judges, and in the end, my teammates hand was raised, though officially the match was declared as a draw on both of our records
