These are just some of the many animas that have found a new home in the Disney parks. Many of the animals from Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland can be found all over Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Magic Kingdom also has some leftover vultures from Snow White’s Scary Adventures that are perched above the track of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (they are placed so high because they are not the correct scale for the ride, so they use force perspective to make them look appropriately sized.)
A yeti (often called Harold) also migrated from the Matterhorn to storage in the Collector’s collection in Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout in DCA.
Many of these characters here were from the brilliant mind of legendary animator Marc Davis. His creativity when it came to clever animals yruly knew no bounds. Also, a special thanks to Kevin Lively for never giving up Marc’s frogs and man-eating plants in the Jungle Cruise; we are eternally grateful 🐸
