This unique series consists of individual videos showcasing Licensed Opticians from across Canada.
In this video, Karim Asaria from Calgary, AB, describes his philanthropic efforts and how being a Licensed OpticianOM has helped him to have a career based on sincerity, professionalism and compassion, and to support a cause that is very important to him.
In 2007, Karim established Help Stop Blindness and Hunger in Africa and Asia (HSBHAA) as a registered non-profit, non-religious charitable organization. It is based in Calgary, Alberta and is operated solely by volunteers. HSBHAA's mandate is to PREVENT blindness in Africa.
Karim found that he wanted to do something more than his regular daily work and feels fortunate to be a Licensed OpticianOM, which he sees as a noble, respected profession where you can help another human being.
We hope you will share this video in your practices and industry events and share Opticians' passion to "Become an expert and love what you do."
