Why do so many people suffer from hypothyroidism?

If you'd like to learn more about the thyroid gland as explained by Markus Stark, you can watch the full video here 👉    • SCHILDDRÜSEN-Unterfunktion & Mögliche Ursa...

Thousands of people suffer from hypothyroidism or are treated for it with medication 💊. Hypothyroidism is the most common thyroid disorder.

Why are so many women affected? 👩🏼‍🦰

A progesterone deficiency (corpus luteum hormone deficiency) can cause hypothyroidism 📉. Being overweight 🚶‍♀️, lack of exercise 🛋️, and overeating 🍔 lead to estrogen dominance in women, which impairs the function of progesterone 🚫. Progesterone is essential for the conversion of T4 to T3 🔄. T3 stimulates TSH, enabling the thyroid gland to absorb iodine 🧪.

💡 A major disruptive factor is chronic stress 😩.

Chronic stress increases cortisol levels 📈, which reverses the conversion of T4 to T3, resulting in rT3 ⛔. It's important to determine if stress-related hypothyroidism is present. Symptoms include fatigue 😴, hair loss 🧑‍🦲, infertility 🚫👶, lack of energy ⚡, rapid heartbeat 💓, and chronic constipation 🚽.

Important: Ensure adequate intake of thyroid-specific nutrients and consider switching to a Paleo diet 🥦🍖.
