Greetings fellow Polymaths! Milo here. As a votary of cosmic space and NASA nerd, I added this giant book about Apollo 11 to my space collection years ago. It is written by the famous Norman Mailer and encompasses events leading up to and culminating in the successful Apollo 11 mission in 1969. The text is great, but it’s really everything else that makes this book a favorite of mine. Like all Taschen books the images are highly detailed, defined, and crystal clear and the page quality stands out. I’ve seen hundreds of NASA/Project Apollo mission photos over the years in various formats and these are among the clearest and sharpest I’ve seen. There are also a lot of nifty four page gate-folds. The book is heavy and large (roughly 11" x 13") but worth the energy expenditure to read. I believe Taschen released a mini-version of this title a few years ago if you lack real estate on your bookshelves.
