Yürekler Kabarık - 20th Century Turkish Military Music
"Yürekler Kabarık" (Hearts Swell)is a Turkish military march composed by Fethi Sazçalan. Set in the Rast makam (musical mode) and following the Nim Sofyan usul (rhythm), this composition is emblematic of the traditional Mehter music genre.

Bir huşu içinde dinle gülbankı,
Sesleniyor tarih, bu ses o yankı.

Doğudan batıya, Yemen'den Belgrad'a.

Hearts are swelling, tears in eyes,
Stand respectfully as the military band passes by.
