Why Sanji Would HATE Most One Piece Fans
Imma be brutally honest, Sanji would probably hate 99% of the population, maybe even you watching this video. I know what you’re thinking, but King of Toast, isn’t Sanji supposed to be the greatest depiction of kindness in One Piece? And you would be right. But you see, Sanji is the epitome of sticking to a self imposed code, even if that code handicaps him. He’s even rather die than break his morals and his code. Yet, everyday, people do the one thing that Sanji would never forgive. And quite frankly, I can’t stand this behaviour either, it genuinely boils my blood and Sanji is the only character who I feel like shares this huge pet peeve that I have, I hate this act so much, that I lose respect for someone depending on the severity of it. I’ll let Sanji do the talking for me.
‘’Don’t you DARE waste food’’. The amount of people who casually waste food, or disrespect food, like putting their bare feet on food, or throwing food at people, is downright disgusting and should not be normalised. Which is why Sanji and One Piece restores my faith in humanity. This is a series where Zoro would eat a rice ball covered in mud just to give thanks to a little girl. Sanji’s mother eating Sanji’s food that’s been ruined. Same with Luffy. Time and time again we shown the importance of food. How can you call your self a Sanji fan, heck, a One Piece fan, if you’re the type to disrespect food? It makes no sense. The entire Wano arc was about making sure Wano could eat food again.
And I know what people are going to say, ‘’bro, its not a big deal’’ YES IT IS. Just like Wano, there are millions of people starving out there, and for people to just casually waste food isn’t a joke. Sanji destroyed Fulll Body when he decided to waste his soup because a fly was in there. In real life, yes thats a valid excuse, but the point of this scene is, Sanji would go to extreme length to never waste food, so if even a bug being in your soup isnt a good excuse to waste food according to Sanji, what do you think he would do to YOU if he saw you throwing food at people, crushing your food, binning your food just cos you’re mildly full… why not just save it for later? Or give it to someone else?
Sanji once upon a time also used to take food for granted, he looked down on the other chefs who ate the leftovers, untill him and zeff were stranded on that rock for months, this is when Sanji really began to appreciate the value of food. It’s only once you lose something, do you see the value in it. Sanji values not starving so much, that he’d feed his enemies, Gin, Don Krieg, heck… a raging Yonko in Big Mom, Sanji goes to extremes to make sure others dont go through the same pain he did, even if this trait handicaps him.
In fact, this aspect of Sanji is contrasted when his Germa brothers casually waste their food and throw it at the woman serving them, and you can see the disgust on Sanji’s face. All in all, if you’re a sanji fan, stop wasting food, he’d defo ifrit jambe your face, and you should count your blessings, just like Sanji did.
