Welcome to ATARC’s Cloud and Coffee Series! This week’s guest is Ryan Korn, Senior Cloud Architect and Product Manager, of Data Solutions at the Bureau of Industry and Security. This agency is know for being “small but mighty” within the Department of Commerce, and responsible for advancing America’s national security, foreign policy, technology leadership, and economic interests through the administration and enforcement of the country’s export control laws. In October 2021, Ryan was recruited by the agency’s CIO to serve as its first cloud architect and charged with leading the technical strategy and execution of our application and data modernization efforts.
