Learn how to deadhead your dahlias to encourage blooms all season long! Differentiating between new buds and spent blooms can be tricky, but this video will give you lots of examples and close ups so you know exactly what to look for.

Deadheading dahlias removes spent blooms so the plant can focus energy on creating more blooms rather than setting seed. Deadheading is helpful to ensure that you have a beautiful show of blooms all season long. It is quick and easy once you get the hang of it. It is helpful to deadhead blooms as they pass, but sometimes time can get the best of us, and you may be doing a big deadheading job as I have in this video.
