About Karma:
Karma (24), has a multifaceted background that includes film and digital design. Initially drawn to writing poetry, Karma would etch both smiles and frowns in her writing. Through Bizr Batteekh Karma took the opportunity to turn her poetry into song with her first release, “Matahet Kalam”. The track was composed and produced by Said Murad.
كرمى (24 عامًا)، لديها خلفية متعددة المجالات تشمل السينما والتصميم الرقمي. جذبتها الشعر في البداية، وكانت تثير الابتسامات والعبوس في كتاباتها. من خلال مشروع "بزر بطيخ"، استغلت كرمى الفرصة لتحويل شعرها إلى أغنية من خلال إصدارها أغنيتها الأولى بعنوان "متاهة كلام" من تلحين وإنتاج سعيد مراد.
About Bizer Batteekh:
Bizer Batteekh (Watermelon Seeds) is Sabreen's inaugural project under the Jerusalem Art and Production Consortium- Preserving Palestinian Culture Together (ASAS) funded by the European Union. After an open call, our jury carefully selected five talented Jerusalemite artists to produce a unique song and visualizer for each participant. The audio-visual productions involved many local Palestinian collaborators including producers, musicians, videographers, and fashion designers as well as global producers and musicians. Through the visuals, it was crucial to highlight the local talent present in the Palestinian production industry. Sabreen also provided comprehensive mentorship in music business education and branding. Song distribution through Sabreen Association for the five artists will be under Levantine Music, an indie music publisher and label servicing the Middle East and North Africa.

بزر بطيخ هو مشروع صابرين الأول ضمن تحالف القدس للفنون والانتاج - الحفاظ على الثقافة الفلسطينية معًا (أساس) والذي يموله الاتحاد الأوروبي. بعد الاستجابة للدعوة المفتوحة، اختارت لجنتنا خمسة فنانين موهوبين من القدس لإنتاج أغنية فردية مع فيديو كليب لكل مشارك. شملت الإنتاجات السمعية والبصرية العديد من المشاركين الفلسطينيين المحليين بما في ذلك المنتجين والموسيقيين والمصورين ومصممي الأزياء، بالإضافة إلى المنتجين والموسيقيين العالميين. كان من الضروري تسليط الضوء على المواهب المحلية الموجودة في الإنتاج الفلسطينية من خلال هذا المشروع. قدمت صابرين أيضًا تدريبات شاملة في ادارة الأعمال الموسيقية والترويج و التوزيع. سيتم توزيع الأغاني للفنانين الخمسة من خلال جمعية صابرين تحت رعاية "لافنتين ميوزيك"، وهو ناشر موسيقى مستقل وشركة تسجيل تخدم منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.
