Temple 88 Ōkuboji - 大窪寺
The last temple on the pilgrimage if you started at Temple 1 is Ōkuboji - 大窪寺, Large Hollow Temple, Temple 88. The main hall of Okubuji is perfectly situated with a little mountain peaking out behind it. The temple grounds are beautifully situated amongst the trees and rather spread out giving you a chance to walk in a serene setting as you contemplate what you have just completed. Since this is the last temple on the pilgrimage many people leave their walking sticks here. It is customary, however, to revisit the temple you started at or to visit Koyasan after you visit the last temple. Every time I have visited this temple it has been raining. お遍路四国八十八ヶ所 T88大窪寺
