Marko Franovic migrated to Australia from Croatia in 1963, all he possessed was one shirt, one pair of pants, a jacket and a pair of shoes. His first job was as a roofing plumber earning only eighteen pounds a week. During the mid sixties Marko's two brothers joined him in Australia where they began to install windows. In 1983 they decided to go into the manufacturing as well as the installation of windows. The brothers bought land for a factory and this began the property development side of the business (Boka Investments Pty Ltd). The manufacturing business moved in to the factory in 1987 where they bought and developed the land next door into a warehouse which is now leased to several major companies. Today the Boka Group is an industry leader in property development and window installation and employs thirty-six staff, has no sales people, and continues to be flooded with work. All three brothers still work delivering and installing windows.
