Opening its doors in 2002, Red Lantern is the result of a young boy's dream to open his own restaurant. Serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere in the Sydney suburb of Surry Hills, Red Lantern uses only premium Australian produce matched with Australia's finest wines. Venturing into the tourism sphere, Red Lanterns' Thai born and Vietnamese background founder and chef, Luke Nguyen hosts a 13 day culinary discovery tour of Vietnam. Red Lantern has also released cook books, and is currently working with SBS Television to produce a travel program series about Vietnamese culture and cuisine.
