After the deployment
Nevada volunteer Elizabeth Jascolt deployed in summer 2020 to Houston to help people affected by Hurricane Laura. After two weeks making sure people were sheltered and taken care of, she returned to Nevada. Here she reflects on the experience--the people she met and the work she did--and how volunteering makes her feel like she's giving back.
