Whisky.com reviews the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich. In the Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare series, Dr. Jim Beveridge malts long-closed distilleries with other malt and grain whiskeys. The fourth edition focuses on the Speyside distillery Pittyvaich, which was only open from 1974 to 1993, making it one of the most short-lived Scottish distilleries. Beveridge and his team added whiskeys from the 'Ghost' distilleries Port Dundas and Carsebridge as well as Mannochmore, Auchroisk, Cragganmore, Strathmill and Royal Lochnagar.
