Whisky.com reviews the Lagavulin Special Release 12 Years 2022. This Lagavulin was bottled for the 2022 Special Releases. Under the motto 'Elusive Expressions', this year's bottlings each represent a legend around their distillery. According to the legend, a spark from the sun fell from the sky over Islay and set the land on fire. Rising from the ashes above the scorched earth was the 'King of Islay' in the form of a majestic phoenix.
