it's raining today in LA and i heard from a friend earlier that the rain washes everything it touches- like a fresh start. well that's a cool way to start this haha. been busy man, been really busy, but my mind is ALWAYS busy- you're always on it for sure of course. This song means a lot to me, like foreal a lot. I wrote it several years ago while i was still traveling and performing more regularly, before covid and me getting hit by another car. I think i was in hartford, CT for a convention we had a show at and the night before i got into an argument with someone dear to me until about 3 or 4 in the morning. next day i couldn't shake it and found a pond not far from our hotel in a park and sat for awhile. saw an older man feeding pigeons alone w/ a look of fulfillment on his face and i started writing from there. honestly, and this is true, i didn't stop writing until i finished writing the entire song.
that's only ever happened w/ one other song, "beast of burden" but that' a story for another day... anywho, there's the song and a little backstory to it. my birthday was a couple weeks ago and i feel good. I'm healthy, employed, and i know what i want from life for now. music continues to be my passion, and people like listening to it-what more could i ask for.. i dunno.
either way, i hope you're all doing well. like foreals, i love and care about you all so much. gonna get some panda express and watch some star wars to start the weekend . REINTRODUCING THE KID. APRIL.🔥
