Cleaning your dishes while backcountry camping isn't as difficult as it may seem. You just need a few key items, and be mindful of how and where to clean your dishes.
In this video, I show you exactly how I clean dishes during my backcountry canoe trips in Ontario. I use biodegradable dish soap (link below), a sponge, and a kitchen towel.
Make sure you source water from a large body of water such as a lake or large pond, or moving water such as rivers or streams. Stay away from stagnant water, as it could be harbouring hazardous pathogens.
