Repair involves restoring the thin platinum and aluminum connections between the ceramic circuit board and the connector. The circuit board is connected to the connector via thick aluminum and thin platinum conductors using contact welding. Typically, the main problem is the destruction of the aluminum contacts. This inevitably happens over time with every unit – it's a design feature. Damaged wires leading to the sensor connectors are completely replaced with copper ones. The difficulty of repair is that the contacts cannot be soldered using conventional methods, making it extremely difficult to do without professional equipment. If an error occurs in the ABS control unit, I recommend first going for diagnostics to identify the problem. The auto repair shop should diagnose the ABS control unit itself and rule out any other possible faults unrelated to the unit. If the diagnostics reveal that the ABS control unit is faulty and there is a suspicion of a loose connection within the unit itself (for example, a reaction to vibration or heat), then it must be repaired.
ABS units can be successfully repaired, but they are not forgiving of repair errors! The repair is quite complex, and not every mechanic can perform it competently. Good luck to everyone in your work.
