Every year the Frank family went to Polyfoto, a photo shop in the centre of Amsterdam, to have their photos taken. For one guilder you could have a sheet with 48 different portraits. Photo sheets of all four members of the family have survived. This is the portrait sheet of 13-year-old Margot from 1939. Several photos were cut out of the sheet, one of which can be found in the photo album that Anne compiled while they were in hiding.

About the Anne Frank House
The Anne Frank House was established on 3 May 1957 in cooperation with Otto Frank, Anne Frank’s father. The Anne Frank House is an independent organisation dedicated to the preservation of the place where Anne Frank went into hiding and wrote her diary during the Second World War. The organisation brings the life story and the work of Anne Frank to the attention of as many people as possible worldwide, partly with the aim of raising awareness of the dangers of antisemitism, racism and discrimination and the importance of freedom, equal rights and democracy.
