Background:
This combo is built around Reckoning and invisibility. We are going to stack up Reckoning on some NPCs and then bait people into thinking we are AFK. We are also naked, except for the unstoppable force we are holding.
Once the enemy attacks us, we will stealth and leave the enemy confused where we went... Most people assume we got a queue pop or phased out. While in reality we are loading up our swing timer to destroy them.
Here is a list of items we are using in the combo:
Helm of Fire (helmet)
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=8348...
The reason we are using this helmet, is for amazing instant damage. It might share CD with offensive trinkets, but since the trinket slots are all occupied by other things, we can use this without issue.
Goblin bomb dispenser (trinket)
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=1058...
This trinket is so much better without spellbatching, since it now goes off pretty much instantly. It is also a pet summon which means it doesn't share cooldown with offensive trinkets (Helm of Fire)
Goblin Sapper Charge (consumable)
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=1064...
This is the strongest instant damage consumable available, it is a nobrainer to have in this instant one shot combo!
Swiftness Potion (potion)
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=2459...
We need some speed to catch the enemy, and this is a simple one to obtain. You could also try some engineering boots if you wish!
Gnomish Cloaking Device (trinket)
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=4397...
This is the trinket that the combo is built around. Since it allows us to "vanish" while in combat. While it isn't needed to one shot (you can just bubble, speed potion to reach the enemy) they will be more prepared and might pop a shield, or use other things to escape you.
This trinket catches the enemy completely offguard!
The talents that are most important are Reckoning, and Seal of Command.
Seal of Command can be "spellbatched" with righteousness, since it persist 0.4 sec after expiring. Which means you can use both in the combo. The reason I didn't do it most of the time is because I didn't use a global before stealthing. But in normal one shot cases it is solid to prepare with.
Reckoning, is the most important talent. Since it enables us to gather 5 hits to use at once (by being crit beforehand).
Just make sure you do NOT enable your auto hit on anything before the one shot, since turning it off will remove all charges. Also don't enter loading screens.
Reckoning is sadly bugged in Classic. If you are having your auto hit activated, recieving a Reckoning charge only makes you finish your current swing (similar to parry haste). That means you only get between 0-1 extra hits (depending on where on the swing timer you got crit).
It is useless if you are crit at the same time as your swing finishes, since then Reckoning won't give you anything.
However if you instead have your auto hit turned off as you are crit or turned away from the enemy, then your swing timer loads up like usual and the Reckoning hit is added ontop of your normal hit.
I really hope this can be fixed, since having your auto hit turned on resulting in reduced performance compared to manually attacking, doesn't seem intended at all...
