Perp in Cherokee 'Need for Speed' Stunt on Florida Turnpike Goes Wrong
On June 30, 2024, Florida State Troopers spotted a Grand Cherokee with a temporary paper tag on State Road 836. They attempted to stop the car, but as soon as they got behind the vehicle and turned on their lights, the driver immediately took off.
The 30-year-old suspect, identified as Jose Alberto Rodriguez, was arrested and faces several charges, including fleeing and eluding, possession of a weapon while committing an offense, no vehicle registration, and no valid driver’s license.
