🔍 Part 27: Grouping & Ungrouping Patterns
Grouping and ungrouping patterns and the labels or guidelines within them is incredibly important, especially when it comes to selecting and moving your patterns.

When you mark points, draw guidelines, and add your pattern outline, these are all separate elements. Moving them will tear the pattern apart and key information will be lost.

Whilst holding down shift on your keyboard, and using the selection tool, select the elements of the pattern you want to group. Next, click object and group or hit CTRL G on your keyboard. This will lock these elements together allowing you to move them as one. Group all the various elements within your pattern. Finally, select the entire pattern, elements included, and click Object, Group. You can now move your pattern around as one with ease.

To ungroup simply click object and ungroup or hit SHIFT CTRL G on your keyboard. This will undo the last grouping.
