Master Data in SAP Plant Maintenance - Part 02 (Functional Location)
To create a functional location in SAP with the creation of a structural indicator, you can follow these steps:
Go to the SAP Easy Access menu and navigate to Plant Maintenance - Master Data - Technical Objects - Functional Locations.
Click on the "Create" button to create a new functional location.
Enter the required information such as the functional location name, description, and plant.
In the "Structure" tab, select the appropriate structural indicator from the drop-down menu. The structural indicator defines the hierarchy of the functional location within the organization, such as a department or location.
You can then enter additional details for the functional location such as the location and the manufacturer data.
Once you have entered all the required details, click on the "Save" button to create the functional location.
You can then assign equipment to the functional location if needed by going to the "Equipment" tab and clicking on the "Create" button.
