Club Penguin: a neoliberal ideological PROPAGANDA tool?
Here's a little ramble on my thoughts on club penguin and commodification. The whole discussion on online space and virtual markets is a really interesting one. Essentially, the point I'm really interested in is the way virtual worlds obfuscate the mechanisms of labour production, priming us to understand commodities not as the product of labour relations, but as the relationship between ME and COOL CLOTHES.
Forgive the rambling argument and whacky visuals, I'm trying to get back into practicing some video-making so I thought i'd play around with some styles. If you like it, hey nice!
